The origins of Notre Dame Academy, NTPC Solapur trace back to an invitation from the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Solapur Unit—an esteemed ‘Maharatna Company’—to take over the existing KLE English Medium School. The vision was to establish a school under the Notre Dame Management that would serve both the children of NTPC employees and those from neighbouring communities.
Thus began the collaboration between Notre Dame Academy and NTPC Solapur under the dynamic leadership of the then Provincial Superior Sr Mary Chetna, with the dedicated support of her team, Sr Mary Kripa and Sr Mary Manisha.
